This kit contains everything you need to build a custom wireless steering wheel for your Simagic Base. The embedded board and the dongle are based on the nRF52840 microcontroler.

 

Kit contents :

- QR with a power kit compatible with Simagic bases (5v power supply connexion)

Seeduinio XIAO Ble board

- A USB-C extension to update firmware

NRF52Dongle (option)

- 10 20cm dupont cables so you can connect your buttons, rotary encoders, etc.

 

Dongle is only useful if you need more than 32 functions, or if you have display needs (leds, nextion screen, etc). Only one dongle is needed for all your wheels. Display is driven by SimHub software.

Packages for using Node Blue. Packages are bound to a board, so you'll have to buy them for each board you wish to program. Only boards proposed on ElectroSeed shop are supported.

Standard parckage includes the modules listed in the description.

"Gaming Device" option allows to program the board so it will be seen by the PC as a standard gaming device (no drivers to install). To choose freely the device name, you must choose the Pro package.

"Display" option gives you access to all the modules that deals with display : RGB Leds, 7 segments displays, Nextion screens, TFT/Oleds/etc. screens.

NRF52840 micro-controler based dongle.

 

This dongle can be used as a radio receiver and is compatible with all our radio boards (based on NRF24 modules or NRF52840).

 

The NRF52840 micro-controler includes an USB hardware controler which can be programmed to create a gaming device, a keyboard, a mouse, etc..

 

A standard Node Blue package is included with the dongle.

The Seeeduino XIAO BLE board brings you the power of a nRF52840 in one of the smallest form factor, and allows to deploy wireless projects at a small cost. It includes a Texas Instrument BQ24101 battery charging circuit, and the battery charge level can be measured.

Thanks to Node Blue, this board enables connecting buttonsswitchesencoderspotentiometers,  rotary switchesjoysticks  and various sensors.

 

By choosing the Bodac option, you'll be able to connect 5 buttons on only one input.

For example :

- with 2 encoders, 11 buttons instead of 7.

- without encoders, 15 buttons instead of 11.

 

Attention, this board uses an USB-C connector.
